Nesquick Milk is free after coupon at Giant in Fredericksburg, VA
Nesquick flavored milk is on sale at Giant for $1 (10 for 10.) The shelf tag indicates the sale will last until June 23. Giant doubles coupons every day up to $0.99. Use the $0.50 off coupon from the 6/05/2011 Red Plum coupon insert and pay only sales tax. The 6/05/2011 coupon inserts are available today in the Stafford County Sun newspaper.
CVS Shopping Trip
I am having a great time purchasing items we need for our household regularly at 80% or 90% or more off. After so many years of spending cash for toothbrushes, it is great fun to take full advantage of manufacturer coupons and store sales and bring them home for little or no cash out of pocket expense.
I learned how to shop this way by studying blogs of ladies who pay very little cash out of pocket for their merchandise. These ladies took the time to post their transactions online. So, I am posting these tranactions so other people can learn to shop this way, too.
I stopped in CVS today to pick up some toothbrushes and some candy.

Wise Words from my Father
We just got back from a trip to Charlotte to celebrate with my nephew who earned his Eagle Scout award. Well, it's late Friday evening and we got back on Monday afternoon. It seems like we just got back because I spent four days serving as a substitute teacher in one of our local high schools.
While we were in Charlotte, my father shared some wise words. We were talking about how much stuff we have that we do not need. I won't get the words exactly right, but Daddy said something like this. There is an old adage that whatever space we have in our homes, we fill it up with stuff. Daddy said, "We didn't have an attic or a storage room when we moved here, but now we do, and they're full." (Mama and Daddy have been in their present home for 32 years.)
This week I have been plugging away at removing unneeded clothing from my dresser and closet. I personally own clothing in five different sizes. Instead of making piles of "clothes I want to keep" and "clothes I think I can part with," I am attempting to compose a list of necessary clothing items and give away what I do not need.
